The quiet neighborhood of Seahurst lies on the bluff above Three Tree Point and at the West end of SW 152nd Street and stretches from the border of Seahurst Beach Park to Gregory Heights.
Known for its variety of older Craftsman, Dutch Colonial and Post-War era homes, Seahurst also has a scattering of Tudor, Mid-Centry Modern and New Construction homes.
People like the Seahurst neighborhood for a variety of reasons. First is the “Neighborhood Feel” that it has. With plenty of large lots and mature trees, Seahurst is quiet, quaint and welcoming.
This neighborhood also offers tradition. The old Seahurst Post Office is still in existence today across from the old Seahurst Pharmacy building and the charming brick facade on the Lollipops Children’s store set’s the tone for this quaint area. Many of the neighborhood homes have been tastefully restored making this neighborhood feel somewhat like it may have in yesteryears.
The third attraction that people have to Seahurst is the schools. Many families move to the area for the highly sought after elementary education offered at St. Francis of Assisi School. Depending on your location in Seahurst you also have the option of Gregory Heights or Seahurst Elementary Public Schools.
